Simple and good laptop but I have one problem - I tried to upgrade it with extra RAM - I tested two different chips - 8GB DDR4 2666 and 2133 but ended up with black screen. I could hear and see the fan spinning but screen was black until I removed this additional RAM. After that laptop was ok but I cannot do much with just 4GB of RAM... Does anyone know how to fix that issue???

The laptop's cpu AMD A4-9120E support ram speed up to 2133MHz so i would stick to that.
Since the laptop supports 12 gb of ram according to acer website, maybe try to put the 8gb into the second slot and not the one where there is the original 4gb.
I can also suggest to download cpuz, run it and check the Memory and SPD - slot 1 and slot 2 tabs - for some additional info.
